If you decide to have your evening meal with us, you can expect the finest luxury lodge dining – Gail may call on daughter Ellie who is a professional chef. A perfect opportunity to get together with other guests and share the highlights of your day. We love to have a glass of New Zealand wine or New Zealand craft beer with our guests. Come join us around the fire in winter or outside on the deck, enjoying views of Mount Tauhara in the warmer months.
Breakfast is served in our dining room, al fresco on the deck in summer, or even in bed. You can enjoy a continental or full cooked breakfast each morning until 9.30am.
If you are going off early to walk the Tongariro Crossing, we will set you on your way with a packed breakfast for you to enjoy on the journey. We can’t have you arriving hungry!

Our focus is to provide our guests with healthy dining options. Our homestay dining menus are designed with the traveller in mind, offering tasty but healthy options. At Kauri Point Boutique B&B we use the finest selection of fresh New Zealand-grown produce, and where possible we cook with organic/sustainable/gluten-free local ingredients. Many of our guests are enjoying long 6- to 8-week holidays and relish the option of simply putting their feet up and relaxing over a meal and glass of wine.
Several luxury lodge dining options are available: 1- or 2-course dinners, or a 3-three course meal plus cheeses and coffee – all homemade and prepared fresh. All meals can be served gluten-free.

Bring it home and we will cook it for you. We have a hot smoker – trout is fantastic smoked. With a little more notice we can prepare it as part of your evening meal.
Please note we need to sight your fishing license.
With notice and weather-dependent we can offer our guests a home-made wood-fired pizza dinner.
